Parkinson Memorial Methodist Church in Sherburn Village celebrated its
40th birthday in 2002, having been formed when the congregations of two
previous chapels joined to worship in the present church which was opened
on the 12th December 1964. .
The church no longer meets for worship and the members now attend other
local churches in Sherburn, Sherburn Hill and Carrville.
