I have had the fortunate opportunity in my career to work with some of the greatest football players to ever play college and NFL ball. Being a strength and conditioning professional and personal fitness trainer in Atlanta, Georgia now for over 10 years I have had plenty of time to tweak and fine tune the most effective workouts in order to optimize and squeeze the best performances out of several football athletes. However, I must say that I have one lift that I have been utilizing now for the past several years that makes up all the difference. If I have your attention then continue reading.
Football Power Workouts
In the game of football I understand the importance of having a powerful and fit body. You have to be conditioned in such a way so that you can jump, turn, sprint, and explosively move at a moments notice to make what generally ends up being a violent and physical play. Having had the opportunity to experience this for myself and to help other athletes to do the same thing I am a true believer in having an effective strength and conditioning program. In order to do this you have got to be dynamic in your training and have a well planned strategy at the same time.
One lift that I am a huge believer in is the kettlebell one arm Turkish get up. This is a lift that is as dynamic and powerful as it gets. From this single lift you will develop shoulder แทงบอลออนไลน์ mobility, core strength, leg power, balance, and the exterior look of a well oiled powerhouse ready to hit your opponent unforgivingly time and time again! The Turkish get up is about starting with the kettlebell lifted at a perpendicular angle to the floor while lying on your back. From here you are going to stand up to your feet and return to the ground in a series of steps that makes the lift flow seamlessly and efficiently. The object is to keep your shoulder locked into the socket and to maintain that perpendicular angle of your arm to the ground throughout the entire lift.
Once you master the movement and technique of this athletically sound lift you can go heavier and heavier in order to build on the power and function of your body. This single lift will prepare you for the rigors of the football season better than most anything else you can do within the scope of your football training program. If you haven’t already started to implement this lift into your football power workouts then you are missing out. Take the time to learn more by accessing more of my articles on the subject for free.
